What clients and families ask most.
Most people arrive with the same questions, whether they are asking for themselves or for someone they love.
IOP stands for Intensive Outpatient Program. It’s a level of care that sits between traditional weekly therapy and more intensive options like residential or partial hospitalization treatment. IOP offers real clinical structure, multiple sessions a week, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, while allowing you to keep living at home, working, going to school, or staying connected to your daily life. It’s designed for people who need more support than a once-a-week session.
Clients will have nine hours of group therapy per week, three hours, three days per week. Clients will additionally have at least one hour per week of individual and/or family therapy. Length of stay varies by individual. Most clients participate for several weeks up to a few months, depending on their progress and clinical needs. We regularly reassess with each client and their family to determine the right pace and length of care, rather than working from a fixed timeline.
Yes. If you’re already working with a therapist, psychiatrist, or other provider, we see that as an important part of your care team. We prioritize ongoing communication with any referring or outside clinicians throughout treatment, so everyone supporting you is working from the same information and the same plan.
Yes, every client enrolled in our IOP goes through weekly drug testing. We know that might sound like a small detail, but it plays a big role in how the whole program works. Testing is not about catching anyone or treating clients like they cannot be trusted. It is about building a foundation of honesty, for you and for everyone in the group around you. If you have more specific questions about how testing works day to day, our team is happy to walk you through it.
Yes. We work out of network with insurance. Our team can help verify your specific benefits and walk you through your coverage options before you commit to anything, so you have clarity on cost upfront.
Think of treatment as a spectrum, not a single box.
Living at a facility full time with round the clock support. The right call when someone needs maximum structure and containment, often right after detox or early in stabilization.
A partial hospitalization program is a step down from residential. You are not living on site, but you are in treatment most of the day, several days a week. A strong middle ground for people who need intensive support but do not need to be supervised around the clock.
Fewer hours and fewer days than PHP, with more independence. Built for people who are stable enough to manage more of daily life on their own but still need consistent structure, accountability and support to keep that stability going.
One session a week, usually the right fit once someone has built a solid foundation and needs ongoing maintenance and support.
For a lot of guys IOP is the natural next step after residential treatment, a structured runway back into everyday life. For some, it is the right starting point, when things need more than weekly therapy but not residential or PHP. The right level of care depends on your history, your current stability and the support around you, which is exactly what a first conversation with our team is for.
